Pulaski Community Hospital Honors Employees For More Than 800 Years of Combined Service

Pulaski Community Hospital recently recognized 67 of its staff members at an awards ceremony to recognize their dedication and years of service.  Recipients of the 2009 Employee Service Awards represent almost all of the hospital’s departments and services, and combined, equal an astounding 830 years.

“We recognize the value of your service to this hospital,” said James W. Thweatt, Jr., Interim CEO, Pulaski Community Hospital, in his ceremony remarks.  “The family atmosphere that you have helped to create makes this a very special place to work.  That is proven by the dedicated service that you have all given to this place, year after year.”

Special recognition was given to Joyce Ayers, LPN, and Bessie Tickle, Coding Compliance Manager, for each having given 45 years of service to the hospital.  Sandra Emeott, RN, BSN, Chief Nursing Officer, recognized Mrs. Ayers, an LPN on the medical/surgical floor, for being an excellent and superior nurse with endless compassion for her patients and co-workers.  Tom Lawhorne, Chief Financial Officer, said of Mrs. Tickle – who served for many years as the Director of Health Information Management – “She is as determined and diligent as they come.  Everyone knows that when we need something that seems nearly impossible done, she can make it happen.”
